Indonesian Labor Law is arguably complicated. The sources of Labor Law in Indonesia are widespread among laws and ministerial decrees.
There is a Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower ("Labor Law") for example which is used to guide all stakeholders (employers and employees) to create harmonious, dynamic and fair industrial relations. Where companies / businesses can grow and develop sustainably, and the welfare of workers and their families can continue to be improved.
In addition to the Manpower Act, there is also Act No. 2 of 2004 concerning the Settlement of Industrial Relations Disputes. This law is intended to maintain relations and regulate the settlement of disputes between employers and workers in an orderly and peaceful manner.
